Our Name
Ponnivalam reflects the spirit of river Ponni (Cauvery) — the river that nurtured our land — and the prosperity and values we carry forward together.
For generations the Cauvery has given life to the fields along her banks — turning soil into harvest and harvest into a way of life. Our name honours that river and the agricultural abundance she made possible.
The legendary golden kingdom of Ponni Vala Naadu rose along the Cauvery river — a golden era of heritage, prosperity, and bravery. Rooted in Tamil oral epic tradition, it is remembered across centuries.
